When I was a kid, my mom would almost always forget the last sheet of cookies in the oven and burn them. I could never understand why, and I knew I would NEVER be like her. Now that I have 4 kids, I burn cookies too--just like Mom! I now realize that people who make perfect batches of cookies just don't have enough going on. Or perhaps they always remember to set their timers and then manage to stay close enough to hear them beep. This is my ongoing life story...
